The 3rd International Forum on EMM market in 2011 and The 8th China EMM Products Conference of ImnI, which is sponsored by International Manganese Institute, National Manganese Industry Technology Committee, National EMM Factory Directors (managers) Institute, National Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide Factory Directors (managers) Institute, Huacheng Nonferrous Metals Electronic Exchange Shanghai Ltd, and Organized by Huacheng Nonferrous Metals Electronic Exchange Shanghai Ltd, will be held on March 31st to April 1st, at KAI WAH PLAZA International Hotel, Kunming Yunnan.
2010 is over, EMM industry hasn't make great strides forward when global economy revives in this year. Average operating rate of EMM industry has been reduce by the effects of overhaul regulations in mining, environmental protection law enforcement inspection, energy saving and pollutant reduction policy. Now, we are facing new challenges.
2011 will be a crucial year of our economy development history, in which The National Twelfth Five-Year Plan will cause Economic restructuring. Economic development pattern will transform from external demands driving to internal demands driving. Pillar industry will turned from traditional industry to strategic emerging industry. Policy leading direction will change the EMM demand environment directly or indirectly. At the same time, the growth mode of EMM industry will also transform from traditional mode to efficient, environmental and low energy consume mode. Consequently, the 12th Five- Year period will be the key time of EMM industry development.
According to above, this forum will focus on immediate issues such as: Which factors will make effect on EMM industry deeply in the 12th five-year plan? What is the present development status and confronting problems of EMM industry? What direction should EMM industry upgrade to?
This forum will invite leaders of relevant ministries and authoritative experts of International Manganese Institute, National Manganese Industry Technology Committee, National EMM Factory Directors (managers) Institute and National Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide Factory Directors (managers) Institute to make speech and discuss questions which concerned for all. Affected by the financial crisis, in the second half of 2008, almost the whole EMM industry lost. In 2009, because the country has adopted a series of policies, the country’s economic situation has been improved significantly. But the EMM industry development in 2009 has no significant improvements. Preliminary data show that in 2009, EMM industry operating rate dropped again in the fourth quarter below 85%, and about 70% enterprises were still at a loss. EMM export decreased sharply, and 2009 export volume was only 47% of the 2008.
How does EMM industry deal with it? What is the real situation of EMM industry? What will be the new acts of industrial policies and environmental policies? What are the promotion and breakthrough of new technologies? How does the market price mechanism improve to safeguard the fundamental interests of the enterprises? What are the progresses of foreign EMM production status? These are hot and difficult problems which we will crack passive and achieve development.
